Money, health, social relationships or feeling addicted - these arguments for stopping smoking have certainly been heard and considered by smokers many times. Wasn't that enough to decide to quit smoking? So what about the environment? Quitting smoking because of the environment is not a bad idea at all. Tobacco devastates our lives by affecting the environment in which we live on a global scale. This is the theme of this year's World No Tobacco Day (WHO). The environment is being destroyed by tobacco growing, cigarette production and distribution, and the subsequent waste. This can also be a good reason to stop using cigarettes.
