This article is a short summary of analyses of drinking water quality in private wells from which drinking water samples were collected in connection with the floods in 2013. After the floods subsided and following sanitation of the surrounding area and wells, Health Institute personnel collected samples of water from private wells which provided the only sources of drinking water for inhabitants. The tested samples of drinking water reached water quality requirements in only 6% of cases.
